Tom is one of those people customers instantly connect with — honest, friendly, a little goofy, and genuinely fun to have around while he’s working. He first got into electrical back in Canada, learning the trade from his dad, and he’s carried that same pride and craftsmanship into every job ever since.
Outside of work, Tom is an active member of the Clampers in Paradise, volunteering his time to put flags up around town for holidays like Veterans Day, and helping with local toy drives to make sure every kid gets a gift from Santa. Whether he’s upgrading wiring or giving back to the community, Tom’s all about keeping families safe and supported.
Dylan
Electrician
Dylan brings a genuine passion for the electrical trade, a path he first started while living in Washington. After trying out a handful of other trades, he found himself drawn right back to electrical work — the place he realized he truly belongs.
When he’s not helping homeowners stay safe and powered up, Dylan is spending time with his family, building and racing RC cars with his son, fishing, or heading out camping. He’s all about honest work, good craftsmanship, and treating every home as if it were his own.

Absolutely amazing and would highly reccomend. Work was done fast and any issues ran into were resolved same day. Not once did we feel like we were being "upsold" or like they were trying to add work for money. Billy does great with explaining things and what the next steps would consist of. There is almost always options to pick from when it comes to resolving the issues we had which were a lot of outlet upgrades, breaker verification, figuring out why we lost power in the kitchen and then fixing it, and kitchen light installation plus some other things. This company and their workers are so understanding of personal/homelife situations and seem happy to work around what you have going on. 10/10 reccomend!Posted on Brian AyersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Let me explain - classy means treatment of people, being reasonable regarding price and the quality of work. Red Dirt excels in each. From owner to office staff to contractor doing the work (there is some overlap), I was treated with patience, fairness, flexibility - and they’re all friendly. That’s a lot of f-words… In seriousness, this is what we miss about small companies who remember what things are like before becoming massive and too busy for all the details. The job I needed done was to prevent my home insurance being cancelled. That would’ve meant a new company with a much higher premium. It was stressful; the insurance company mandated the job be done by a licensed electrician. With proof. I chose Red Dirt because they’re from Paradise, where I grew up and I happen to understand the name. Liam from Red Dirt came to my house (on the weekend, no less) and talked to me, gave me options, explained what they’d do and then they did it. They had the obstacle of being at the mercy of both PG&E and the City of Chico’s time scheduling (they tell you when they’ll make it to you) and Red Dirt got the job done before my deadline. There was minor construction required to make it look nice (not in the estimate) and the cost was waived. I got to keep my insurance without a price increase, the poor craftsmanship and outdated wiring in my electrical panel is now updated and new… I didn’t even have to increase the dose of my anxiety medication! I’m half-joking. Bill, Liam, Mennen and Tom - good people. Hard, capable workers. Schedule what you need help with. If you see a company with eight different trucks and a half dozen billboards, chances are you will receive a different kind of experience. Thanks, Red Dirt - Brett in ChicoPosted on William TaetzschTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bill did a great job installing a new switch and wiring for our new garbage disposal. He discussed options before setting up the job. He also advised me about the condition of the wiring in our old house. He cleaned up the workspace. I would highly recommend Red Dirt Electric!Posted on Tracy PorterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great service.
